Deputy Finance Manager

Job purpose

The Deputy Finance Manager will be responsible for timely Billing of clients and supervision of monthly financial reporting. The Deputy Finance Manager will ensure the correctness of bills sent including confirmation of when bills are sent;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all Company transactions are recorded on time by checking work performed by others;
  • Monthly management accounts should be done within 7 working days of the month ending ;
  • Bank reconciliations for all banks should be reviewed and confirmed done with 15 working days of the month ending;
  • A complete variance analysis should be performed against budgeted figures on a monthly basis after management accounts are completed;
  • Regular review and ensuring reconciliation of various balance sheet and other account balances in a manner that will ensure account balances are accurate and genuine;
  • Ensure payments made to consultants are genuine and accurate
  • Review general ledger on a regular basis and ensure its accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full grade 12 certificate with credit in English
  • Full ACCA/ZICA
  • With at least 3-5  years’ experience with 2 years + experience in a supervisory role
  • Worked in dynamic finance department of Corporate/Multinational company
  • Previous audit experience advantageous
  • Team player
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to produce management accounts
  • Must be a member of ZICA
